Dr Monica Monir

Dr Monica Monir is passionate about restoring your confidence with a healthy smile and assists you on this journey with a gentle and caring nature as well as an eye for detail. Dr Monica graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from James Cook University and is a current member of the Australian Dental Association, including obtaining their Code of Ethics certificate.

Prior to joining Clearly Dental, Dr Monica worked in Sydney and Far North Queensland, serving the communities of The Sutherland Shire, Sans Souci, Cairns, Townsville and Mareeba. During these years she worked in a range of dental specialty clinics including, but not limited to, a head and neck cancer clinic, oral and maxillofacial surgery clinic and special needs clinic. Additionally, Dr Monica tended to the needs of anxious patients by operating under General Anaesthetic on a regular basis.

Dr Monica believes in the importance of research-driven clinical dentistry, as well as giving back to the community, and as such has completed a systematic review on fluoride intervention which she then used to design and implement an Oral Hygiene Education program for schools.

Dr Monica is always attending courses to upgrade and expand her skillset so she can provide even better care for her patients. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry including restorative and paediatric dentistry.

Outside of dentistry, you are likely to notice Dr Monica swimming or reading a book at your local beach!
